Congratulations Kalle!

Dear Friends,

It is my great pleasure to share the following news with you. Karl-Henrik Robèrt, founder of The Natural Step and Kalle to his friends, will receive an honorary doctorate from Mälardalen University in Sweden today.  This great honor is not only an acknowledgement of Kalle’s own achievements; it is also a bold statement about the university’s commitment to sustainability.  Mälardalen is using sustainable development  as a strategic base to focus on 1) sustainable development, labor and management, 2) environment, energy and resource optimization and 3) health and welfare.  

Kalle has been instrumental in promoting the advancement of sustainability research and education, and works tirelessly with decision makers in companies, governments and academic institutions to advance sustainability. He also writes large numbers of scientific publications, inspires many more, supervises PhD students, develops skills for hands-on methods and tools for decision making, and tests methods of businesses and communities across the world.  We are deeply proud of Kalle’s life and work and wish him all the best.
